Verse-By-Verse Ministry With Heather Darnall
This podcast is a way for people to dive deep into the Christian Bible with me as I read scripture verse-by-verse from various sections and break them down for a better understanding of the context. But moreover, to have a better relationship with Jesus. Additionally, I believe this podcast is a good starting point for anyone new to the Holy Bible, but is still good for anyone who is already well-versed.
Now, please take note that I'm not a scholar. I didn't go to seminary school, I don't have any sort of qualifications that would highlight myself as some kind of guru; I'm simply a seeker for the truth of God. He gives me what I need to make this podcast according to His liking since it's technically His podcast. Therefore, I'm just managing it to the best of my human ability.
But the main reason I started this podcast, is because first off, no one read the Bible to me growing up. Secondly, so often verses are taken out of context and rearranged for our self-will, or even thought as not applicable to us given the length of time that has passed when it was written. And when we do, or think like that by not seeking the full council of God, we're only going to feel lonely, misguided, even deceived.
Thus is why I wanted to take the advice of the apostle Paul when he wrote his letter to Timothy (2 Timothy 2:15) and told him, "do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth." Pay attention to that key word there, "rightly." So that being said, hopefully you'll find this podcast helpful and insightful. Moreover, that you're continuously rooted in your faith while marching forward in life having more confidence in the Bible and what it's really saying to us as well as how we can make it applicable in our day-to-day lives.

Are Your Prayers Effective Or Empty?
Prayer is commonly used, as it should be, but either in two ways. One is with effectiveness while the other is with emptiness and the two give very contrasting results. And those who aren't experiencing anything come out of them, naturally assume that they don't work because they have no idea what the problem is. After all, aren't prayers supposed to work?
That being said, we need to go back to the operating manual so to speak (the Bible), and re-evaluate what's holding our success back because prayer was not designed to be ineffective. In this episode, I begin and expand off of what Jesus promised His disciples in the Gospel of John 14:14, which is a verse often misused because people are not properly educated on the background and/or what it's referring to which is prayer - effective prayer. As in guaranteed results kind of prayer. And since most people don't have a solid foundation/understanding of that verse, or prayer in general, their whole prayer life - if they even have one - seems to be spiraling out of control, not realizing that they've fallen asleep at the wheel and basically let Satan take over. Thus is why I wanted to elaborate on the do's and don'ts of prayer so that people would once again, wake up and kick Satan out of the car all together and would finally experience the glory of God that they've been longing for.
Please note that this is my personal interpretation of the scripture to the best of my current knowledge and understanding. I encourage everyone to please check and verify as scripture encourages all believers to do so. There many be times where I have overlooked and/or misunderstood information by mistake which is why verifying is important, if you feel lead by the Holy Spirit to do so.
